YELVERTON is to hold its first ever Christmas tree festival this year.

Plans for the event, from Thursday, December 15 to Sunday, December 18 December are nearing completion, and a small team has been eagerly gathering support and sponsorship from organisations and businesses in the Yelverton area.

The festival will take place in Rock Methodist Church and will feature 20 trees which will be individually decorated by local groups and businesses.

The opening hours will be from 10.30am to 4.30pm, except on Sunday when there will be a carol service at 10.30am to which everyone is invited.

The festival continues on Sunday afternoon when the Church will be open from 2pm to 4pm.

Admission is by donation and all proceeds will be shared between Shelterbox and Yelverton Village Projects.
