A SPECIAL event in memory of 12-year-old Charlotte Saunders, who died after falling from her pony into the River Ockment three years ago this October, is being held next month.

A barn dance is taking place at Eastlake Riding Stables, Belstone on Friday, June 18, with all money raised going to support the vital work of Devon Air Ambulance.

Claire White, who runs the riding stables said: ?We hope a lot of people will support the event as it is a good cause and is in memory of a very special girl who is so badly missed.?

There will be a live band, ?Limited Company? who will take to the stage at 8pm, and a raffle and disco at 11pm. There will be a bar and burger vans, which will be provided by Okehampton Lions.
