Okehampton Argyle Under 13s 2 Appledore Under 13s 4 APPLEDORE started well but eventually Okehampton came forward and Craig quickly scored. The Okehampton forwards then forced some more good saves from the Appledore goalkeeper. Appledore broke through into the Okehampton half but were caught offside. A close shot from Paul Gent nearly brought Okehampton a bigger lead. Jack Stanbury defended well and Simon Fellows did well to defend his goal. Appledore then took the ball around the goalkeeper and scored to make it 1-1. Okehampton forced more good defending by Appledore until Jai scored to make it 2-1. Paul Gent played some excellent linking play. Appledore came forwards but good defending by Jack caused them to shoot wide of the goalposts. In the second half, Appledore had a free-kick that bounced off the cross bar but later scored making the score 2-2. Appledore were then awarded a penalty and they scored. Okehampton kept trying but Appledore scored again making the score 4-2. The score would have been 5-2 if Okehampton goalkeeper Simon Fellows hadn?t stopped the ball on the line.
