THE tenant panel of a West Devon housing association has come up with a new scheme which they hope will reduce the stress of moving house for new residents. On arrival, tenants of West Devon Homes will be given a welcome pack, containing everything from lightbulbs to tea and biscuits as a gesture of goodwill. The scheme is the latest in a series of initiatives from the panel, which has for many years run a garden assistance scheme to help elderly tenants with their gardening. Chairwoman Liz Steele said that the panel members wanted to involve themselves in an initiative that would benefit tenants of all ages and raise awareness of the group in a bid to recruit more members.
