THE meeting of these two sides usually results in a closely contested fixture and this was no different tale as both teams attacked looking for the all important first goal.

With no score at the halfway mark no-one would have suggested a six-goal feast would entertain those braving the cold mist to watch. No prizes to guess who claimed the opener as Alan Grylls put Tavy on top.

Lewdown, however, were not to be outdone and levelled with an ingenious dummy at the near-post. S Fegan put Tavy ahead again with the first of his brace and A Searle increased their lead.

Chris Hurford was outstanding in the Mary Tavy goal and was again voted man of the match but even he could not prevent the home team reducing the arrears.

Tavy's fourth sealed the win and another precious away win.
