FALCONER David Buncle took five of his beautiful birds of prey to the show — including two Harris hawks, Ginger the eagle owl and Betty the barn owl.

Bird number two, a yellow billded kite at one point decided he'd rather go and explore the car park than return to David at the end of his first demonstration, prompting David to tell the assembled crowd that he was off to get his trainers and head off in hot pursuit.

But all was well in the end, and he was safely back on his perch before long.
