HUNDREDS of people joined in the Good Friday Walk of Witness organised by Christians Together in Okehampton.

The event, which has taken place for many years in the town, started at St. Boniface Church and moved to outside Fairplace Church and on to St James' Chapel.

At each point participants from the seven churches were involved in prayer, bible readings and sharing the account of the crucifixion of Christ.

A short service was held in St James' Chapel before a walk to Red Lion Yard, where chairman of Christians Together, the Rev Lynne Burgon, shared her thoughts on the truth of the Easter story.
