THIS November there are a a series free 'woodfuel from hedges' events on and around Dartmoor.

The West Devon event takes place at Sampford Spiney on November 1 between 10am and four pm.

With thousands of tons coming out of continental hedges it is still not done here – yet! These events will show how to harvest fuel from hedgerows the specific methods that need to be followed to create a sustainable source of fuel from a hedge.

Organised by groups within the Dartmoor Circle who have been supported by the Dartmoor Sustainable Development Fund, the events are run in conjunction with the Devon Hedge group.  There will be experts on hand to demonstrate, show you which wood to grow and answer questions.

All the events are free of charge but places are limited.
