A FUN and informal horse and pony show managed to draw the crowds recently, despite poor weather.

The Lovaton Fun Horse and Pony Show was a chance for people to have fun with their horse and fellow riders while raising money for two charities.

The show had a variety of entries, including people experienced in showing and people who had never taken part in a show before.

There were classes for all ages and all types of horses and ponies, including a few novelty classes, and a novelty dog show.

Show champion of the day was Mojo, a Welsh section D, with Becki Wilson, who hasn't done much in the way of showing before. Reserve champion was Buddy, Arab, with Cody Tanner, for whom it was her very first horse show, and in third place was Rusty, and ID cross TB, with Isobel Golightly.

The event raised £150 which will be shared between Hoofbeats Equine Rehabilitation Sanctuary and the Canine Epilepsy Support Group.
