ART students from Tavistock have been honoured at an awards ceremony at the Plymouth College of Art and Design. Jessica Turner, Andrew Carpenter, Philip Birchall and Ben Ewing received their awards at the end of year summer show celebrations. Jessica, who has just completed a BA (Hons) in Applied Arts, was selected by tutor Sue MacGillvray for the Cookworthy Award for her success in ceramics. Andrew, who is studying for a BTEC First Diploma in Art and Design, was awarded Student of the Year for Art and Design, for his consistent production of high quality work, his significant progress within the course and the positive contribution he had made to the college. Ben, an ND Graphic Design student, was awarded the SBW Advertising Award for his outstanding work throughout the year. Philip Birchall, also an ND Graphic Design student, received the Colin Gibb award.
