Whitchurch U15 v Ford Park U15
FORD Park batted first on a nice grass wicket at Whitchurch. Due to some good tidy opening spells from Hulbert and Scott Whitchurch reduced the opposition to 8-1.
Skipper Daymond and Thomas were brought into the attack with Daymond finishing off with a useful 7-1 off 4 overs and Thomas taking an outstanding spell of 3-5 off 4 overs.
Good overs from Frost, Willets and Murphy kept the run rate down before the openers came back on and finished up with Hulbert taking 6-2 and Scott 8-0.
Ford Park finished 46-9.
The Whitchurch innings started with an unfortunate duck for Frost, but Daymond, Newton and Probert rallied to bring Whitchurch home with 7 overs to spare.
Cornwood U15 v Whitchurch U15
WHITCHURCH batted first on an artificial pitch and the openers, Newton and Frost, made a magnificent start, soaring to 20 after just two overs.
The opening pair went on to make a partnership of 133 in 16 overs before Frost was dismissed on 81, after a great innings off only 49 balls.
Newton and Webb kept the run-rate up with a partnership of 22 off 3 overs before Aaron finished off with Newton for Whitchurch to finish on 160 after the 20 overs.
Cornwood started well before Thomas got his teeth into the higher order, taking 4-2.
Tidy spells from Hulbert, 14-1, Scott 22-0, Probert, 9-3 all helped to see off the Cornwood opposition and made sure that they only made 98 in their 20 overs.
