Okehampton 3 Mannamead 0 THE match started off with Mannamead having first push back, but Okehampton hockey team were quick in shutting them down amd taking possession of the game. The ball was passed to Abbie Colton who sliced it to Hannah Whiteley, who was ready on the post to chip it into the goal. Okehampton stayed focussed on the game in hand and managed to keep the ball up the attacking end and working Mannamead?s defence hard. Captain Rachel Hammett made a run up the side of the pitch, crossed the ball to Abbie who tapped it into the D where Polly Wood was able to finish it off, giving Okehampton a 2-0 lead going into the second half. Okehampton?s keenness stayed high and managed to keep control of the match, allowing a hit from Sarah Jones at the top of the D to be slotted past the goalkeeper, giving Okehampton a 3-0 win.
