DARTMOOR National Park Authority has no objections to a plan for ten mobile holiday units at Betty Cottles Inn, Meldon.

The application has been submitted to West Devon Borough Council. Dartmoor National Park was asked for its view due to the site's proximity to the park.

Dartmoor planning officer Stephen Bell in a report for the park's development management committee, said the site was well screened by existing buildings and trees so the caravans would be well contained in the landscape and not visible from within the park.

The application will go before the borough council's planning committee for determination next month.
