Mary Tavy . . . . . . . . 3
Altarnun . . . . . . . . . . . 4
MARY Tavy fielded a somewhat depleted side in this their second 4-3 home defeat of the season.
With three first choice players on holiday; goalkeeper Chris Hurford taking on new responsibilities as league referee and second choice keeper on work duties it was left to defender Shaun James to pull on the keeper's jersey once more.
Altarnun, realising that the match official was actually a Mary Tavy player, led them to dispute every decision throughout the match making life very hard for a person well-known for his fairness throughout his career.
At the interval the visitors lead 3-2 with the home team's goals coming from a scorcher from Dominic Reeves and Alan Grylls.
After the break Altarnun capitalised on uncertainty in the reshuffled Tavy defence to extend their lead only for the score to go 4-3 with play being brought back for a penalty after the ball was smashed into the away goal.
Gareth Patton was the player who stepped forward to reduce the arrears once again.
As in previous weeks Mary Tavy searched for the equaliser dominating the last few minutes but to no avail as Altarnun sealed a precious away win.
