MORE than 15,000 people visited a unique exhibition staged in Princetown this spring by the Dartmoor Trust.
The Trust said the photographic exhibition, depicting a century of history on Dartmoor, was 'a resounding success'.
The photographs on display showed views of the moor taken 100 years ago with contemporary pictures taken of the same locations.
And more than 1.600 copies of the book, Dartmoor Century, featuring the photographs on display and others by local photographers, have been sold.
There is another chance to see a limited number of the photographs at Exeter County Library between July 3 and 17 — from mid-July until September the entire exhibition will be on display at Castle Drogo near Drewsteignton.
The Dartmoor Trust aims to preserve and protect the moorland landscape and its wildlife, archaeology and buildings.
Other projects completed by the Trust include the restoration of bells at Gidleigh Church and a Victorian water mill at Okehampton.
