A PHOTOGRAPHIC history of Dartmoor and colourful creations depicting periods in history by local primary school children are two exhibitions currently on display at the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton.
The Dartmoor Century II exhibition consists of archive and contemporary photographs by the Dartmoor Trust tracing the 20th century.
The Tudors, the Greeks, Henry VIII and the opening of Simmons Park in the early 1900s are some of the periods and events featured by children of Okehampton, North Tawton, Hatherleigh, Exbourne, Chagford and Lewtrenchard primary schools who have made vibrant banners, paper models of children, a dolls house and greek-style pots.
Museum curator Maurie Webber said the venue gave the children a platform to exhibit their work and the exhibition had been received very positively so far.
