MANY of the older bonneted and half-club busses and coaches which used to operate in Devon will be among those on display for the annual Historic Transport Open Day at Winkleigh. Cars, tractors, coaches, goods vehicles, motorcycles and stationary engines will be on show at Winkleigh airfield on Sunday, October 2, from 10am-4pm. There will be free bus and coach trips in vehicles of the past, including visits to the local cider factory. There will be many vehicles with Westcountry connections and a variety of stalls offering a wide selection of transport related photographs, books, models, memorabilia and auto-jumble. Car parking will be provided nearby with a park and ride service. Refreshments will be available on site.
