HIDDEN delights with 'moor' than meets the eye are to be open to the public later this month. Some of the hidden gardens of Manaton, a small moorland village under the lee of Hayne Down, will be opened to the public on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11. Fourteen gardens in both the northern and southern parts of the village will be open for viewing with tickets, costing £4, available in the parish hall at Manaton throughout the weekend. Light lunches and teas will be available in the parish hall and tickets are free for children under 14. All proceeds from the event will go towards improving the parish hall and bringing it up to modern day standards.
