Okehampton looked the more likely to score again. Matt King seemed to have broken the deadlock when he crashed the ball goalwards from 25 yards only to see a spectacular fingertip save from the Exeter keeper.

Not to be outshone by his

counterpart, Okehampton keeper Andy Herrod-Taylor pulled off a tremendous acrobatic save to frustrate Exeter as they began to enjoy a period of pressure.

Eventually Exeter took advantage of a defensive muddle to score an easy second.

Okehampton rallied again, compressing play into the Exeter half. It was individual brilliance from Chris Raymont that levelled the score. He turned two player in the box before coolly sliding the ball past the keeper.

In a five-minute spell before half-time the game turned in favour of the visitors. Two corners within as many minutes brought two goals and a half-time lead for Exeter.

Elliot Collins and Gary Sizmur played well at the back, supported by tireless running from Matt King, Phil Woods and Rob Clarke. substitute KyleMaltravers came close to scoring when he found himself free on goal, but his chip shot was just saved.
