CALLINGTON Heritage Centre was opened recently for the 2010 season by local resident Ann Eade and this year's exhibitions focus on two of her much loved interests, mining on Kit Hill and Girl Guiding, which this year celebrates 100 years.

Mrs Eade has lived and farmed on Kit Hill since 1950 when she bought Claremont Farm and has had a lifetime's participation in the Girl Guiding movement, playing a leading part in Callington and camp adviser for many years throughout the county.
