OKEHAMPTON Guiding Association is £3,000 better off thanks to Waitrose supermarket.

A cheque for the sum was presented to Marie Endacott, leader of the second Okehampton Brownies and will help go towards building a new hut for Okehampton Guiding Association, which encompasses Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

Marie said; 'This money means that we can add it to our fundraising and get the project off the ground.

'We are hoping to start building next year and have received a great deal of support from the community.'
