I AM writing to thank you and your colleagues (especially Jane Honey) for publishing the article in the Times (October 14) about the Trac Grip vehicle which originated from East Cornwall and which my husband has restored.

We had about ten phone calls in response to the article and heard some very interesting tales about people who worked for the manufacturers of the Trac Grip.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful and perhaps you could print a big 'thank you' to all the people who took the time to actually pick up the phone and call us. It was much appreciated, and we have made a donation to a local charity shop run by Lady Tindle.
