CHAGFORD-based holiday homes specialist Helpful Holidays has been shortlisted in the National Business Awards. The award for customer focus, sponsored by Cable and Wireless, recognises businesses which put customer care and satisfaction at the heart of their operations. The company is one of just four finalists in this category for the Wales and West Country regional programme. The awards ceremony and gala dinner will take place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on the July 12. Based in a converted Methodist chapel in Chagford, Helpful Holidays is a family-run business celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The firm's portfolio of more than 550 places to stay in the West Country ranges from remote little hideaways for two to the largest self-catering house in the country sleeping seventy.
