A CHAGFORD-based business has announced it is to sponsor a young driver who could one day top the podiums in the sport of motor racing. Helpful Holidays has agreed to support young Max Daymond, aged 16, who is hoping to secure senior honours in kart racing this year. Max, who comes from Plymouth, has only been driving for a year but has already won the Octane Cup Championships in junior Rotax and came second in the South West championships. His potential has also been spotted by former Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell ? and Max is due to compete against the racing ace?s son this season. Moray Bowater, of Helpful Holidays, said: ?This is a fantastic opportunity for us to sponsor someone with great potential. ?We believe Max will go all the way and achieve his dream of following in the footsteps of some of the world?s greatest. ?Motor racing is a very expensive sport and to raise sponsorship is always difficult. We are delighted to be able to help Max at the beginning of his career and wish him all the best for his future.? Helpful Holidays, a self-catering holiday agency, was founded in 1982. From an initial 70 properties, their brochure now includes more than 500 holiday homes, from large houses to small cottages.
