FINDING the money to tackle a leaky roof or draughty windows is never easy, but homeowners in West Devon can get help when an information road show visits local communities next month (May).
West Devon Borough Council has set up a partnership project with Wessex Home Improvement Loans (WHIL) to provide affordable loans to eligible homeowners to fund essential repairs, adaptations or improvements to their properties.
Information about the loans scheme is available for the first time via the council's outreach scheme, West Devon Connect.
Residents will be able to pop along and speak to a Wessex Home Improvement Loans advisor at various locations across the borough in May.
There will also be free advice and information from the borough council's Connect advisor on a range of topics from recycling to welfare benefits.
Other agencies joining the West Devon Connect roadshow next month include Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), Okehampton Library, Action on Hearing Loss, the homelessness charity Encompass and Parklands Leisure Centre – among others.
