HELP and advice were offered to shoppers in West Devon at the weekend at the annual community day held in Tavistock's Bedford Square.
Representatives from local public services were on hand to provide information for visitors to the event on Saturday.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service's mascot was out and about and people were able to try their hand at the service's new educational vehicle which aims to improve young drivers awareness towards the dangers of the road and risk taking.
Also at the event was West Devon Borough Council's recycling and waste education team delivering their recycling message and giving information about the new recycling collection arrangements for the borough.
Representatives from Tavistock Library were also at the event along with Devon Wheels2Work, NHS Stop Smoking, the RNID for the deaf and hard of hearing, Devon Care and Repair, Devon and Cornwall Police joined by the West Devon Community Safety Officer, Tavistock Children's Centre and TASS among others.
The community day is part of a series of local initiatives which include regular outreach surgeries in some of the more rural areas of the borough.
