It only took the visitors 30 second to take the lead through Jason Cordice from a mistake from Darren Smalley but he soon made up for that when he powered through and levelled the score for Bere. Steve Skinner came back for Holsworthy before Chris Truscott replied for Bere, so the teams went into the break at 2-2. Skinner edged Holsworthy ahead, but Chris Truscott completed his hat-trick to put Bere in the lead. Richard Staines pulled it back to Holsworthy before Cordice grabbed the late winner. Despite the loss for Bere they remain top and three points clear. l Bere have appointed Kevin Taylor as manager who in his first game in charge takes Bere to Morwenstow on Saturday in the Rowett Insurance East Cornwall League Cup. l In the Bodmin Trophies Duchy division three it was Pensilva 1 Bere Alston United 3.
