A FUN and fruitful day was had by all as children from West Devon learned about the importance of healthy eating. Children from Bridestowe, Lydford and Sourton Pre-school recently learned all about fruits in a day supported by Waitrose supermarket. The pre-school has been celebrating this year after moving into the new village hall in Bridestowe at the end of March. The pre-school are now able to provide lunch clubs and some full day care as well as the sessions they run on five mornings every week. They hope by September this year they will have an after-school club up and running. The pre-school is run by a parent committee and employ two play leaders, two play assistants and an administrator alongside two volunteers who help throughout the week. The pre-school runs from Monday to Friday during term time and welcomes children aged 3 to 5 from across West Devon. They are now also running an under 3s fun session each Tuesday from 1.30pm until 3pm.
