NORTH Tawton Primary School has been recognised for the way it promotes a healthy lifestyle for its pupils and staff.
The school is one of 100 in Devon which have been accredited to the national Healthy Schools Standard, which is backed by Devon County Council.
The programme looks at all aspects of health, covering a range of specific themes covered in the Personal, Social and Health Education Curriculum. These include emotional health and well being, safety, healthy eating, sex and relationships education, citizenship and drugs education as well as physical activity.
