HEALTHWATCH Devon is keen to hear from people living with long-term conditions to find out what they really think about the support they get from local health services in Devon. A long-term condition could include things such as asthma, diabetes, chronic kidney disease or heart disease. Local health managers are keen to make sure that people living with long-term conditions get all the support they need to manage their own care and live the best lives they can. To do this they need to understand how people feel about the care they currently receive. Healthwatch Devon is running a survey to help gather people's views. They will use the feedback from the survey to inform health service managers about how to best support people living with long-term conditions in Devon. This may mean making changes to the services they provide as well as developing new ways of providing services. To take part in the survey, visit the website at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/managingyourowncare">www.surveymonkey.com/s/managingyourowncare or contact Healthwatch Devon on 0800 5200640 for a paper copy. The closing date for the survey is Friday, November 21.
