Coaches at NLFitness took part in their second ever Train the Trainer event on Saturday, December 18, giving members and clients a chance to turn the tables and put them through their paces in the name of charity.

The session, which spanned over two hours, was created from a collection of exercises chosen by members and clients. NLFitness chose Hospiscare as its charity this year as they hold a place close to coach Daisy Peters heart.

In 2015 Daisy’s mum Amanda was diagnosed with terminal cancer, the same year that Daisy found out she was pregnant with daughter Lily. In the months that followed, Amanda’s care needs required her to be at Hospiscare in Exeter. The team at Hospiscare were able to provide the unwavering care and round the clock support that Amanda and her family needed, even when little Lily arrived in the midst of it all!

The hospice in Exeter was a sanctuary for Daisy’s family and made an unimaginably difficult time that little bit easier.

The event was a great success, raising £1,500 for Hospiscare. There’s still time to donate, head to JustGiving.com and search NLFitnessTrainTheTrainer.
