Times’ staff welcomed a visit by Tony Parker from the Tavistock Dementia Action Alliance.

Dementia describes a set of symptoms that include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem solving or language.

Tony outlined some of the problems faced by people with dementia and those communicating with them and some of the misconceptions that people have of the condition.

The Times is one the many businesses, shops and offices in the town that have joined up to TDAA scheme in aiming to make Tavistock a dementia-friendly community.
