THIS was a well-contested, physical match with possession switching regularly. Shots were saved by both keepers and neither team had time to relax in an end-to-end game.
Dawlish were the first to score, but Okehampton managed to equalise before half-time. Michelle Vaughan passed the ball through Dawlish's defence to Kelly Cooper who took it away from the keeper to score.
The visitors moved into the lead in the second half, but Okehampton were determined not to lose. Sam and Miki Burdus stopped certain goals with tireless defensive work.
Time was running out for the home team but they were awarded a free kick just minutes before the referee blew for the last time. Hayley Vincent lined the ball up just outside the penalty box, struck it well and it curled left to beat the keeper and give Okehampton their second equaliser.
