Callington & District Netball League

CARADON took on Haws Tor on Wednesday week. Hawks Tor were more in control, but Caradon kept fighting back, with good defending. At half-time there was only five in it. Hawks came out in the final quarter determined to get the win and secured three points.

Final score: Hawks Tor 36, Caradon 25. Nominated players: George Holmes (WD) Caradon, Anita Gubbins (GA) Hawks Tor.

A CLOSE encounter took place between Callington Cricket Club and Pink Ladies. Both teams started quickly. At the end of each quarter there were never more than two goals separating the sides. The final quarter saw Pink Ladie, division 2 leaders, pull slightly ahead, taking the win 21 to 16.
