RESIDENTS in West Devon who have concerns about the service they are receiving from the NHS will have the chance to have their say at a special event being held in Tavistock this month. The South Hams and West Devon Patient and Public Health Forum is being held at Tavistock Methodist Church Hall on March 20. Whether you are concerned about the availability of an NHS dentist, whether you are able to obtain transport to and from hospital appointments, or if you feel the talk about a patient-led NHS is just pie in the sky, this meeting is the opportunity to make your views known. ?How many times have you driven around and around the hospital car park, looking in vain for somewhere to park? What can be done about it? This is a fundamental matter that has to be resolved,? said Mike Bonney, chairman of the Patient and Public Involvement Forum, (PPIF). He hopes anyone concerned about health issues or with ideas on how they can be addressed will come to the meeting and find out more about what the PPIF can do on the public?s behalf. The meeting starts at 1.45pm with a light healthy lunch beforehand at 1pm. All members of the public coming to the meeting are welcome to lunch. Numbers are restricted ? to book a place call Ben Panton on 01404 549210.
