HARDWORKING community projects in Yelverton will be holding their annual meeting in the village next week — and are urging village residents to come along and have their say.

The Yelverton Community Projects meeting will be held in St Paul's Church Hall on Monday.

An interesting agenda includes a talk by Maggie Payne of the Hearing and Sight Centre in Plymouth, on the difficulties facing visually impaired people in every day life.

Yelvercare and Yelverton Village Park Committee will give presentations at the meeting on their work during the last 12 months — and plans for the coming year.

One of the projects to be put forward by Yelvercare is a self-financing luncheon club — and the group hopes people will put their views forward on this idea.

A spokesman for Yelverton Community Projects said they were hoping for a good attendance at the meeting.

'It is a voluntary group run by the community — for the community,' he said.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
