OWNERS of Solo, a pedigree Dartmoor pony stallion, are desperately seeking his safe return.

Solo was last seen on Lowry Moor by Burrator Reservoir. He is part of the Peek Hill Herd Conservation Scheme.

He is jet black and 'very striking' with a JC frieze brand on his near side withers, which is unfortunately mostly covered by his mane.

Verity Nicholls from Walkhampton, who looks after the ponies, said: 'He runs with five pedigree mares and two of his late foals. They sometimes go up to Leather Tor but always come back down for food.

'He has never left his mares before and we are now worried for his safety.'

If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please call Verity on 01822 855650 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
