A PUPPY has gone missing from a back garden near Peter Tavy, and the owners are asking for help in finding it.
On the afternoon of February 3, a 16-week old Border Terrier puppy, Fergus, disappeared from its garden at Harford Bridge. He was wearing a blue and green tartan collar, with a metal ID disc with a full address and contact details.
Owner Peter Burgess said: 'I live next to the old Tate and Lyle sugar plant near Peter Tavy. I have called all my neighbours, neighbouring farms, pet shop, vets, pubs and animal rescue homes but with no success.
'I have recently been discharged from hospital following a back injury operation and with walking difficulties on crutches, my ability to search for him is near impossible. Two years ago my small pet dog disappeared, then last year my pedigree Burman cat also disappeared — both were wearing collars and ID tags.
'This is the third time I have suffered the devastating loss of my pet, and once again I can only fear that somebody has found my puppy and ignored the owner details.
'My family is very upset and I am pleading for anyone who has him to please contact me.'
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fergus or any information that may be relevant, please contact Mr Burgess on 01822 616917.
