VISITORS can get spooked at the National Trust's Cotehele House on Saturday, October 27.
From 8pm to 10pm (last entry at 9.30pm), they will be free to explore the nooks and crannies of the house by torchlight and meet paranormal investigators who will be stationed throughout the mansion.
They may encounter friendly fairies who dust the cobwebs away and are well acquainted with Cotehele's darker side; but will have to watch out for things that go bump, scratch or squeak in the night.
Spaces are limited. To book phone 01579 351346, extension 0.
Hallowe'en family fun takes place at Cotehele during half term. A Wizard Challenge Quiz Trail from Cotehele Quay to Cotehele Mill can be enjoyed every day from October 27 to November 4. It is free with mill entry. Pick up a trail map from Cotehele reception or the Edgcumbe Restaurant on the Quay.
Youngsters can join Ranger Jamie and his team for spooky half-term fun, broom making on Monday, pumpkin carving, potion making and monster making. Booking is essential on 01579 351346.
