THE Tavonians Theatre Company is holding one of its regular play readings next week, which should have everyone laughing out loud.
The group will read a couple of award-winning one act plays by a contemporary playwright, Bridget Derrett on May 21.
In 'All Around My Pole', Dilys' husband has left her for a younger woman and Brenda is planning something special for her husband's 60th birthday — so they decide to join a pole dancing class at their local village hall.
'Seeing the Light' is about members of a support group who meet once a month to share their Near Death Experiences.
All are welcome, either to join in or listen. The reading will take place in the Guide Hall in Bedford Car Park, Tavistock at 7.30pm.
The next production by The Tavonians will be 'Midsummer Madness', a cabaret-style mixture of sketches based on seaside and holiday cruise themes.
It will take place at The Ordulph Arms in Tavistock on June 18 and 19. For further information email [email protected]">[email protected] or visit http://www.tavonians.org.uk">www.tavonians.org.uk
