FOR the past 16 years the British Heart Foundation has held its annual walk on the moors ? this year they are inviting readers to take part. The event takes place from High Down car park in Lydford, behind Dartmoor Inn, at 10.30am on Sunday, September 24. Kris Budge, secretary of the local branch, said: ?This event is one of our most popular and we have people travelling from far and wide to take part. ?Always well supported, it is an event to enjoy with friends and family who can walk the five or ten-mile route which are led by responsible leaders.? Funds raised from the walk will go towards furthering the aims of the foundation and to raise funds to purchase cardiac equipment which will be donated to local groups.
