Calstock Rowing Club is holding a Fun Day, on the Calstock Quayside by Calstock Village Hall, on Sunday between 10am and 2pm. New members are particularly welcome to try rowing the club's traditional Cornish boats — Flashboats and its pilot gig Zeus.  All ages are welcome, from 10 upwards with under 16s flashboats only. Mark Reynolds, club chairman, said: 'There will also be a barbecue and stalls at the event, as well as games for children. 'The club will be demonstrating its fitness equipment as well as the boats.' 'Calstock rowing club has been in existence for more than 100 years, and attends events throughout the summer, in regattas around the coast, as well as running the Calstock Regatta in early August. Calstock Rowing Club is a friendly and lively organisation, promoting traditional Cornish Rowing for all ages and abilities.'  More details are on the clubs website, http://www.calstockrowingclub.co.uk">www.calstockrowingclub.co.uk.
