AFTER coming off second best in league encounters this season, Lamerton turned the tables with a well earned Chairman's Cup victory over their local rivals.
Lamerton started the brighter in the first half and came close on a couple of occasions before Steve Wickett latched on to a Jimmy Cole through-ball to open the scoring.
Mary Tavy equalised after half an hour when a Mark Piper free kick deceived the home defence and dropped just under the bar.
The home side regained the initiative early in the second half with Wickett scoring his second and he duly completed his hat-trick with 20 minutes left.
Substitute Sean Cann then scored with two headers from Andy Williams corners to put the game out of reach for the visitors.
Mary Tavy scored a consolation goal in the final minutes when a defensive clearance hit Nick Johns and rocketed into the net.
