TAVISTOCK athlete Ella Ellis, won the Plymouth Tri Club's junior aquathlon for the third year in a row.

Ella, 12, from Buckland Monachorum, competed in the 11-12 years category and had to complete a gruelling 250 metre swim in the sea at Mountbatten at Plymouth Sound. This was immediately followed by a 2km run along the seafront in very wet and windy weather.

The Plymouth Leander swimmer, who attends Plymouth College, led the girls competition throughout and was pleased with another comprehensive victory.
