WITH the official arrival of autumn, the Harvest Festival season is here, and Fairplace Church leads the way with a special harvest weekend this week.
Starting on Saturday, September 14 the church will be open from 10am to 4pm for everyone to view the church's decorations and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
On Sunday, September 15 at 10.30am there will be a family service led by Rev Andrew Sowden, a former minister of Fairplace Church.
At 6.30pm there will be a special songs of praise for harvest, which will be a united service where all of Okehampton's churches will join together to enjoy seasonal hymns, music and readings.
A warm invitation is extended to all.
On Monday, September 16 at 6pm the church will host a harvest supper, sing-a-long, sale of produce and a harvest cabaret with Dave England, Roger Partridge and John Holland.
