SOUTH Tawton School held its harvest festival last Thursday and chose to support the Okehampton Food Bank as its charity.
The assembly was led by Years 1 and 3 and included a short presentation about the work of the charity by Mark Quick, one of the hardworking Okehampton Food Bank volunteers.
South Tawton pupils contributed hundreds of food items, such as pasta, rice, cereals and tinned goods to donate to the cause.
Both the school and the charity expressed thanks to all families who contributed to the cause.
