Bodmin Trophies Duchy League Division Two Biscovey 0 Lamerton 2 LAMERTON travelled to Par and managed to grind out a result against a battling Biscovey side who were coming off a good result the previous Saturday. The first half was a scrappy affair with the ball bouncing on the hard surface making control difficult. Lamerton had a couple of good breaks only to be thwarted by a zealous linesman. Dan Healy suffered a badly gashed forehead as a result of an accidental clash of heads and, despite plenty of effort from both sides, it was goalless at halftime. Pushing forward with the wind at their backs Lamerton began to dominate possession in the second half but it took a dubious penalty to give them the lead. Steve Gibbings was deemed to have been brought down in the box by the home keeper and Paul Cowling converted the spot kick. The last 20 minutes saw Lamerton play better football and the game was killed off when Pete Broomfield headed a Cowling corner against the crossbar and then forced in the rebound. The back four of Steve Roast, Graham Cole, Simon Breyley and Panda Williams looked solid throughout leaving Pete Daniel with little to do in goal. This Saturday home to Dobwalls. Kick off. 2.30pm.
