Okehampton Argyle U12s 5 Holsworthy U12s 1 ONLY ten boys were available to play on the Argyle side, so it looked like the match would be a hard one. Argyle?s Craig Dennis lost no time hooking the ball over Holsworthy?s goalkeeper and straight into the net. Argyle immediately took the play back up towards the Holsworthy goal, which resulted in two corners for Argyle in short succession. The second, taken by Will Searle, led to a brilliant goal headed in by Jacob Ayris. It wasn?t long before an excellent partnership of Craig, Jacob and Bradley Ausden led to the third Argyle goal. Holsworthy though were playing well and only two excellent blocks by Argyle defender Simon Fellows stopped two potential goals by Holsworthy. Several more saves were made by both goalkeepers shortly before half time. Holsworthy came out fighting after the break, however luck was not on their side ? Argyle quickly scoring their fourth goal, care of Craig Dennis. Holsworthy continued to fight back and persistence paid off with a good goal half way through the second half. Just as it looked like Holsworthy might score again, Bradley Ausden took command of the ball and shot an excellent goal for Argyle. Man of the match: Simon Fellows.
