THE Help for Heroes charity received a bumper boost on Saturday at the Prince of Wales pub in Princetown.
A cheque for £3,000 was presented to Richard and Carrye Day, the West Devon co-ordinators for the charity which supports service men and women wounded while serving their country.
The £3,000 was half of the total of £6,000 raised from the Barchester Foundation Dartmoor Walk held last September, which started from the pub. Around 100 walkers set off on four routes — including one of eight miles — for people with complex physical difficulties. This years event takes place on September 3.
At the same time a cheque for £250 was also presented to Richard and Carrye for H4H from Princetown Pre-School after it held several fundraising events
