STAFF and volunteers at the St Luke's Hospice Book Shop in Tavistock, celebrated the shop's first anniversary last week.

Volunteers at the shop, in Paddon's Row, were treated to a special cake, donated by Jane's Cakes in the pannier market, to mark the year since its opening.

As a thank you to customers, the shop has held a 'buy one get one free' offer on all fiction books this week, which ends this Saturday.
